Life Goes On

Attachment – “the condition of being attached to something or someone, in particular.”

If we aren’t moving forward in our lives, we are in a rut.  And a rut is just a grave with no ends.  Our instinct, our nature, our internal driving spirit pushes us forward.  Always seeking more, doing more, enjoying more, loving more.  But we can’t move forward to the new adventures and joys that Spirit has waiting for us if we are tied to the past, tied to things or people that hold us back, keep us from being the best we can be.  When someone comes into our lives that we think will always be there, the spirit connection is so strong we can’t imagine that person not being in our lives, we become attached.  We put out the silver cords of spirit and wrap them around that person making an unconscious attachment that keeps us stuck in one place.  By letting go of the attachment, that does not mean letting go of the person or thing.  It just means that we let go of the FEAR.  Our fear of change, our fear of losing something or someone, is what creates anxiety and stress.  We don’t have to give up the relationship or the things we love, just the attachment to the outcome.  The universe brings people into our lives for a reason.  On our journey through classroom earth we meet many people who are sent by spirit to teach us something or to help us with something.  Or for us to teach or help them.  When the purpose for the meeting has been accomplished, it is time for them to move on.  If we could but see how much more peaceful and joyous our lives would be, and how much less stress and anxiety we would have, if we just released our attachment to the outcome of any situation.  Relax and enjoy whatever it is that spirit sends your way and don’t stress about if or when changes will come.  Because change will come.  And life goes on.
