The Joys of Living the Plant Based Life

Yesterday was day 132 of a whole foods, plant based diet. I have lost 30 pounds. My blood sugar was 87, the first time it has been below 95 in at least ten years. My blood pressure is down, my cholesterol is way down. People at work are remarking about how I look like I feel better. I feel so clear, fresh and light.  It is amazing how your body feels when you eliminate the heaviness of animal products.  I wish I had known 30 years ago that something as simple as cutting out all meat and dairy products could make such a difference in my health. From barely being able to drag myself from one room to another, after adding rebounding to my daily workout, I have managed to hit 5000 steps per day. I am so grateful to Dr. T. Colin Campbell and his documentary PlantPure Nation for teaching me the benefits of a whole foods, plant based diet.  No matter how much you hear about the health benefits, or someone you know has done it, you really can’t understand how much better your body functions without the harmful effects of meat and dairy products.  I had been vegetarian for a while but didn’t think dairy was a problem.  Boy was I wrong!  I was still struggling to lose weight and still had digestive problems, and the bloating and heaviness.  Once I went full on meat and dairy free the weight started falling off and the digestive and bloating issues went away.  I would like to challenge everyone to try it for one week.  You can do anything for one week, right?  If you need help with meal planning, recipes, or just support and encouragement don’t hesitate to contact me, either email, Facebook, or through my website.

    This is more interesting the more I read. I know God told me to not buy any meat AT ALL this month but I have not said much to the kids except since the freezer died we were eating stuff out of the other freezer mainly this month. I have not played the God card yet I kind of like it when He deals with them His self first and then I just confirm. This is going to be a big change for me. I have got to get the full videos. I just like the DVDs so I can watch them over and over whenever I want and not take up computer space. I am going to set aside a week to try it but cheese and eggs are my weakness. Maybe I just go meatless first then dairy and products. Thanks for caring enough to get REAL with us! God bless you on your journey.
